The power behind Cryptocurrencies
Speaker: Richard. G. Brown, Executive Architect, Banking and Financial Markets, IBM
Background:There is perhaps no hotter topic at the moment than Cryptocurrencies..
To review what the latest state of play is in this space, this evening's dialogue will focus on the latest trends in cryptocurrencies and will be led by Richard. G. Brown, Executive Architect, Banking and Financial Markets, IBM.
There has been much talk about Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ripple and Colored Coins and about the Platform(s) needed to underpin them.
But is there the need to get away from the sterile Bitcoin the currency versus Bitcoin the platform debate.
Instead, should we consider how one drives the other? and is it the platform that is likely to drive the currency, not the other way round?
Our speaker, Richard. G. Brown, will provide a view on the answer to these questions.
Richard is an Executive Architect for Industry Innovation and Business Development for IBM?s Banking and Financial Markets business in the UK.
Richard is a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered IT Professional and holds an MBA from Warwick Business School.
He is popular with both business and IT audiences and presented at the London Financial Services Club a few months ago where he was extremely well received.
